In the center of a traditional Italian
fishing village on the Ligurian coast, this property
is perfect for a holiday between sun and sea.
La
Casa nel Borgo is a cosy apartment about 60 sqm (or
645.8 sq.ft.) in total. It is in the centre of an ancient
Ligurian fishing village, high up on a hill of olives
dominating the Gulf of Poeti (poets) and with views
as far as Portovenere and the Palmaria islands, Tino
and Tinetto.
The apartment is on the second floor
of a typical Ligurian building that has been recently
renovated and furnished with care and simplicity to
offer a comfortable stay.
La Casa nel Borgo is especially suited
for those who want to spend their days between sun,
sea, fabulous food and boat trips plying the near by
islands as well as more traditional Tuscan attractions
such as Pisa, Lucca and Florence.
La Casa nel Borgo is only a few miles
or kilometers from some beautiful beaches. The villa
is in a typical Ligurian hamlet with houses overlapping
roof- terraces, narrow pedestrian alley ways and steep
steps.
Please
note that the villa is not accessible by car. Cars must
be parked in one of the village car parks. The nearest
car park is 50 meters or yards of gently sloping alley
way or about 20 steep steps from the villa, some times
this car park might be full necessitating a slightly
longer walk.
Guests should consider that with the
almost always gorgeous weather and the completely charming
traffic free surroundings, a bit of a walk from the
car can only add to your holiday, allowing you to have
that extra helping of pasta for dinner.
ACCOMODATION: Entering
on the left you find a spacious kitchen and a corner
living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with an American
coffee maker, toaster, fridge, freezer, oven and washing
machine. Please note, no dish washer.
Leading on along a small hall you
come to the living room with a fireplace, TV, stereo/
CD player, and two sofas one of which can be turned
into a comfortable double bed.
Finally adjoining the living room
there is a spacious, romantic double bedroom. The bathroom
with shower is half way along the hallway.
Please note that there is no fixed
line phone but good reception for guests own cell phones.
The owner will also lend you a pay as you go cell phone
for use during your stay.
Please also note that this apartment
has no balcony or terrace. The windows mainly open onto
the interior of the village. From the kitchen window
you can see a splendid view of the gulf. This same view
can also be seen from the main square of the village,
just outside your front door.
The owners of this villa really try
hard to make their guests feel at home. So that you
can completely relax when you arrive rather than rushing
out to stock up, they will provide you with breakfast
on the first morning of your stay.

Please
note: This property does not have air conditioning.
Air conditioning is rarely necessary in Tuscany due
to the lack of humidity and the temperate climate. Almost
all of our properties at InTuscany are in remodeled
medieval or renaissance buildings. They generally have
very thick walls and high ceilings, most are built on
the tops of our gently rolling hills where they catch
the breezes that spring up at mid day and in the evenings.
Generally air conditioning is only
found in the city centers or at sea level where noise
and/or humidity make it necessary. We do not have air
conditioning in our offices or in any of our own homes.
