Le Finestre is located in the very
center of Marina di Castagneto Carducci, which is a
typical Italian Riviera sea side town tucked between
a pine glade and the sea. Walking distance from restaurants
and shops the beach is right below its windows.
 The apartment is 45 sq meters (147.6
sq. ft.) and sleeps a maximum of 3+2 people in one bedroom
and one bathroom. It is on the third and top floor of
a building with lift and has five windows that all looking
at the sea.
Located in very center of the town
you can walk right out the door to find a gorgeous gelato,
a plate of garlicky pasta, a coffee or a cocktail. However,
being on the top floor of the building affords it privacy
and a noise buffer from the life going on below.
Ideal in every season the western
exposure of the apartment makes it a delightful sun
trap in the winter while the sweet sea breeze gives
relief from the summer heat.
ACCOMMODATION: You enter the apartment from the living room/dining
room which has two windows and a French door leading
to the terrace. In the living room you will find the
table for 6, satellite TV, two armchairs and a  sofa
bed.

opens into the 10 sq. meters (nearly 33 sq. ft.) panoramic
terrace equipped for dining al fresco with table, chairs
and umbrella. The sea is right down below.
The kitchen is equipped with oven,
stove, refrigerator, toaster, American coffee machine,
Italian style percolator and dishwasher. From the dining
room a small corridor leads to the bathroom which has
the washing machine.
The bedroom has a double bed and
a single bed. The double bed could also be made up as
two twins with advance request. The bathroom and the
bedroom have one window each both with sea view. Furniture
is made in pine and together with the white floors and
all the windows make this apartment bright and full
of light. There is central heating.
 Please note there is no telephone
but good reception for cell phones. There is off street
parking place in a fenced garden 200 meters away or
you can park out side in the street below the building.
But if you do, please read carefully the road signs
because in the summertime street parking is not allowed
during certain periods.
In
front of the apartment there is a large sandy beach.The beach has umbrellas and deckchairs for hire on the
right. The left is privately reserved for guests of
a near by hotel but walking along the shore line is
free for all.
LOCATION: Le Finestre
is in Marina di Castagneto Carducci in the Etruscan
Riviera. Volterra is one hour away, San Gimignano and
Siena are about an hour and a half. Viareggio is one
hour and Cinqueterre one hour and a half. Piombino is
15 minutes away, from Piombo you can take a boat to
Elba Island (40 minutes). Sardegna, Capraia, Corsica
and the port of Livorno are 40 minutes away. Lucca is
one hour. The nearest airport is Pisa 40 minutes away.
Florence airport is one hour and a half away and Rome
2 hours by car.
OTHER FACILITIES AVAILABLE
NEAR BY: The seaside offers the possibility
of swimming, sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving,
there are diving schools at  Baratti and San Vincenzo.
There are thermal spas in Venturina or Calidario (25
km). Bike riding, tennis courts and horse riding are
available in the area. The golf course is in Follonica
(20 km). You could also try light plane trips over
the hills at the Avio Club. The oasis of Bolgheri is
a WWF bird sanctuary 5 km away. Etruscan ruins can be
seen in the archeological park at Baratti and Populonia.
Wine tasting and fabulous dining can be found in the
many restaurants of the area. For the children there
is the water park in Cecina (15 km) and the park “Il
Cavallino Matto” (The Mad Knight) in Marina di
Castagneto Carducci.
