Il Pettirosso is immersed in the country
side but just minutes from the gates of Siena with it’s
elegant Cathedral, wonderful medieval art, the stunning
Piazza del Campo and a wealth of shops and restaurants.

the property are panoramic views that allow you to enjoy
the heritage of the Via Francigena, which throughout
the Middle Ages was traveled by pilgrims and merchants
on the way to Rome. Today you can still enjoy ancient
buildings, stone bridges and Roman churches.
ACCOMODATION: There
are four apartments, all with lounge, kitchen area,
double bed room, and bathroom with shower. Satellite
TV and air conditioning are also provided.
All has been skillfully refurbished
maintaining the elements that are characteristic of
the Tuscan style, The owners have tried to furnish the
rooms to be as comfortable as in your own home.
You can enjoy a wonderful relaxing
experience near to the city but with a  lot of countryside
and fabulous views all around. The property was once
an old farmhouse that belonged to a prosperous Senese
family. Adjacent is a charming little church, even older
than the farm house.
There
is a large garden and private parking.

lies on a wonderful hill, just 2.5 Km (just over a mile)
from Siena. From there you can enjoy beautiful views
of the Tuscan countryside, outlined against the background
of the city itself.
Nearby, along the Via Francigena you
will find ancient retreats and castles, in a calm atmosphere
that brings the spirit back to life. Il Pettirosso is
near to Siena as well as with easy reach of most important
Tuscan places of interest.The nearest airport is  Florence
(less than an hour). Pisa is less than 2 hours and Rome
less than three.
