Rosa dei Venti is an 18th century
farm house carefully restored 4 years ago to provide
you all you will need for a perfect vacation.
 It
has been owned by the Micheli family since 1900 and
directly managed by them for four generations. The farm
is situated in a typical and particular rural area and
cultivates grapes, olives, wheat, sunflowers and melons
in the summertime.
The Micheli family have put their
beautiful period farm house at the disposal of guests
who would like to spend their vacation in the countryside.
The farm has been restored with respect to the original
architectural characteristics. A large cypress garden,
olive trees and other trees common to the area surround
the cottage. The guests are always welcomed by a member
of the Micheli family who will be at their complete
disposal.
 ACCOMODATION: The
farm "Rosa dei Venti" is divided into three
spacious apartments and two annexes. For the use of
the guests there is also a common living room on the
first floor. The barn in front of the cottage has been
made into a wonderful apartment.
The
Micheli family have been careful to preserve the original architectural integrity of the structure. Importance
has been given not only to the ceilings, with their
imposing wood beams and earth baked tiles, but also
to the wood furnishings and to the painting of the walls,
which are different in every room.
The guests can find the satellite
TV and a CD player in the common room on the ground
floor while in every apartment they have the TV without
satellite. There is  no telephone in the property but
good reception for self phones.

THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: Rosa dei Venti has a beautiful
pool in its grounds from which you can enjoy a panoramic
view of medieval hamlets beyond the grain and sunflower
fields. A
cypress garden, olive trees and other trees typical
of this area surround the cottage.
 For the children there is also a
play area with swings. The guests can also use the wood
burning oven and the barbecue to prepare delicious meals.
There is ample parking near by. In addition mountain
bikes are available to guests. Every apartment has its
own outdoor space furnished with garden furniture, to
have breakfast in the morning, lunch or dinner or just
to relax with your favorite pastimes.
LOCATION: La Rosa
dei Venti is near to Cortona (20 minutes by car) as
well as with easy reach of most important Tuscan places
of interest: Montepulciano 30 minutes, Trasimeno Lake
30 minutes, Perugia 40 minutes, Siena 40 minutes, Arezzo
40 minutes. The nearest airport is Florence 1 hour from
the property. Pisa airport is 2 hours and a half and
Rome is two hours and a half.
 OTHER
FACILITIES AVAILABLE NEAR BY: there is a tennis
court 500 meters from the property and the nearest golf
course is in Bettolle (7km) a bigger one is in Perugia
(50 km). The beach is 2 hours from the property. Horse
riding (in Farneta, 4 km), bike riding (in the property),
wine tasting (in Montepulciano 30 minutes), thermal
spas ( in Rapolano Terme 30 minutes), there is also
a runway for light aircraft nearby. Etruscan ruins and
Renaissance and Medieval art and architecture are all
within 30 minutes by car.
