Overall: We became acquainted with several Italians in the area, restaurant owners and shop keepers, all of whom were very friendly and helpful. In general, we enjoyed it very much and look forward to our next trip to Italy.
Enjoyed Most: The farmhouse was lovely, very comfortable and large with a completely equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Upon our arrival, the owner presented us with a case containing 3 bottles of red wine, 2 bottles of white wine and a bottle of olive oil....all produced there on the farm. He and his wife were extremely friendly, helpful and gracious.
Surrounding Area: The estate is located south of Florence, very near the popular town of San Gimignano and the Chianti region. It was a simple matter to make day trips to many of the towns that we wanted to see in Tuscany. Going in February, we avoided the busy tourist season and yet the weather was lovely.

Enjoyed Most: The owner was wonderful, welcomed us with a bottle of his olive oil, 3 bottles of his red wine, and two bottles of his white wine.
Unpleasant Surprises: The proximity of the neighbors. The house next to ours has 9 bedrooms and is very close.
Surrounding Area: It was about an hour from Florence by train and within many day trips by driving.
Tips or Restaurants: There are many good restaurants along the roads leading up to the house.
