AT THE TABLE IN TUSCANY
What
is it that makes Tuscan food taste so good ? Haven’t
you ever wanted to find out ? There is nothing like
a day or more of hands on experience to get a real feel
for the food and culture of Italy.
InTuscany is very pleased to be able
to offer you one to eight day cooking courses with one
of Florence’s premier chefs, either in her kitchen
in central Florence or at your own.
Sharon is a Canadian from Winnipeg,
who has been living in Italy since 1970. She and her
Italian husband are the proprietors of an Internationally
acclaimed restaurant in Florence.
The cooking school began in August
1998. Sharon teaches with passion the simplicity of
recreating Tuscan culinary traditions into a grand contemporary
feast. All guests are encouraged to participate in the
preparations of a then enjoyed four course meal. The
classes are by bookings only.
Manola and Paolo sat in on a one day class and left hours
later having had the most heavenly gastronomic experience.
We all had a hand at preparing the meal, course by course,
from rolling out the hand made pasta to sliding a perfect
and fragrant chocolate tart (the most delicious one
I’ve ever eaten) from the oven, the whole day
was a total delight.
Sharon peppers her instruction with
tales from her life in Tuscany and cultural asides that
had us all rolling with laughter. Students went home
with beautifully printed mini recipe books, hand illustrated.
Sharon also has a “have pan…
will travel” policy, - she can bring to you ,
your home, your business…recipes from a Tuscan
kitchen. She instructs hands-on classes in the preparation
of the recipes and explains how the ingredients can
be adapted to British or American products.
