The class is offered as a view into
the cuisine of Sharon and her husbands restaurant. With
more than 20 years of experience, Sharon teaches with
passion the simplicity of the trattoria's cuisine. She
will explain the importance of quality, seasonal ingredients,
extra virgin olive oil, fresh herbs and produce, all
of which are available in the local markets.
We prepare a four-course meal in the
kitchen of Sharon's nearby home. The classes are small
and intimate. Each participant will involve himself
"hands-on" in the preparation of the recipes.
Afterwards everyone sits down at the
table to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Two wines
will be appropriately chosen to accompany the meal.
Participants are presented with a cotton shopping bag
and a booklet containing the recipes and description
of the wines.
Lessons are by booking only, Monday
through Saturday starting at 12 noon and finishing at
4:30 p.m. The cost per person is 155,00 EURO.
A market tour is also available on
request; we meet at 10 a.m. to tour Florence’s
Central Market choosing the best ingredients for our
day of cooking. Sharon will explain the importance of
extra virgin olive oil and how to buy a good oil and
balsamic vinegar. Then we return to Sharon’s apartment
where we continue with the cooking class. We will finish
at 4:30 p.m. The cost for the market tour and class
is 200,00 EURO per person.

Sharon is also very pleased to pack
up her pots and pans and come to you.
She needs a minimum of 6 cooks who
pay Euro 155 each. Any other persons around who might
like to help eat the resulting lunch are welcome for
Euro 55 each (and with advance notice please).
Sharon will reproduce her one day
cooking course in the comfort or your home or rental
villa.
She will arrive at 10.00, be prepared
for a delightful but intensive experience and a long
late lunch.
