Although the unspoilt beaches of the Mediterranean coast are only 20 kms away, the property’s luxurious, circular, outdoor pool will certainly tempt you to stay put and unwind nearer to home!
Traditional, local materials of the highest quality have been used in the villa’s restoration work, including beautiful white-glazed terracotta or light-wood parquet for the floors; terracotta tiles and wooden beams for the ceilings; colour washes for the walls; and exquisite marble for the stairs, shower-trays and other bathroom fittings. Many original architectural features so typical of Tuscany have been carefully preserved, such as internal brick archways, exposed stonework walls, and large French windows, and have been complemented by the simple elegance of plain, rustic furnishings, distinguished by attractive natural woods, glass-fronted cupboards, as well as harmoniously integrated modern appliances.
GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL
To one side lies the idyllic, circular pool (10 X 20 meters and 1.40 max deep) in natural pale stone, incorporating a separate jacuzzi-pool with internal seating in lovely stone mosaic. Around these, the spacious lawns are furnished with inviting loungers and sunshades and look out over a breathtaking countryside backdrop that extends right up to the forested hills on the opposite horizon.
This is the perfect spot, not only for relaxed sunbathing, but also for marvelling at the spectacular sunsets, which transform the sky and landscape with their subtle colour-changes. A large, stonework outbuilding nearby that houses the BBQ and pizza/bread oven offers the additional opportunity for leisurely al fresco dining or celebratory partying in this superb location.
RESTAURANT: The wine-estate’s on-site restaurant is characterized by its distinctive style of sophisticated elegance. Round-arched, glass entrance-doors open into a sumptuous lounge area, with luxurious cream featuring as the dominant shade for soft-furnishings, walls and ceiling. In this beautiful setting you can savour the many, delicious, home-made specialities of Tuscany’s rich culinary heritage, where only the finest, natural, organic ingredients are used. The estate’s expert sommeliers (wine waiters) are on hand to advise guests on the most suitable wines to accompany their meal. If desired, they will also be happy to explain in greater depth the intricate relationship that exists between food and wine, so that visitors can gain further insight into that complex yet fascinating art!

Borgo Suvereto
In addition to its main output of wine, the estate also produces olive oil and grappa. A mixture of different, local olive varieties are used to make extra-virgin olive oil and, if the vintage is particularly excellent, then extra-virgin olive oil is produced from just this one variety alone.
HISTORY: This property is situated near the small, medieval town of Suvereto, which lies at the northern end of a broad valley, the Val di Cornia. During the Longobard reign, this valley and the wooded hills that enclose it on three sides, belonged to the Dukes of Lucca and formed part of the so-called ‘Gualdo del Re’, the king’s forest. The term’gualdo derives from the German word Wald, meaning forest, and was originally used to describe a wooded region. Later on, it came to signify an area of recreation reserved exclusively for the Dukes and particularly prized for the cooling shade of its forests during the summertime heat.

DEPOSIT: A deposit of 20% of the total letting price is payable at the time of booking. It may be paid by credit card or wire transfer. Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent notice confirming your payment with contact and arrival information.
BALANCE: The balance is due no later than 30 days (4 weeks) prior to the beginning of the letting period and must be sent to the owner via wire transfer or credit card. If the balance is not paid by the appropriate date, the letting agreement will be deemed to be invalid and the deposit forfeited. ‘InTuscany’ will send you a reminder when the balance is due and advise you how to send the money.
CANCELLATION: In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel all or part of your holiday we will have to charge either:
- deposit only until 45 days before the arrival date
- deposit + 30% of the balance: from the 45 to the 30 day before the arrival date
- deposit + 50% of the balance: from the 30 to 15 day before the arrival date
- deposit + 70% of the balance: from the 15 to 7 day before the arrival date
- total rent - if the cancellation is received between 7 days before arrival and the day of arrival or in case of no show
INSURANCE: All tenants are advised to consider insurance needs in relation to travel, accident, medical and personal cover; 'In Tuscany' can not accept liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by tenants.
IN THE EVENT OF DISPUTE: all disputes will be heard in the court of Montepulciano.
