In the magnificent atmosphere of the hills surrounding the ancient town of Montepulciano, famous for its history, art, architecture and the Nobile wine, lays this small hamlet made of country houses built in bricks and local stones. Its origin dates back to the end of the XVIII century when it was a monastery.
From its hillside position Borgo dei Sette Tigli enjoys wide open views over the valley and surrounding hills covered with vineyards and olive groves extending to the nearby hilltop villages.
The 6 apartments have been restored to the highest standards preserving all the essential elements of traditional Tuscan architecture such as terracotta-tiled/wood-beamed ceilings terracotta-tiled floors and staircases, natural wood shutters for the windows and doors, internal brick archways and colour-washed walls in delicate pastel shades.
Graceful and comfortable furnishings have been chosen to complement this harmonious surrounding perfectly integrated with all the necessary modern-day fittings and appliances including TV Sat and WI-FI internet connection.
This little group of properties is set in magnificent, spacious, park-like grounds where many apartments have their own private garden space or terrace equipped to eat al fresco.
All apartments are provided with central heating, fully equipped kitchens, satellite TV, mosquito screens, washing machine and dishwasher. Many of them also have air conditioning and a barbecue is available in a common area. The caretakers live on site and will be happy to be of assistance in case to need.
A gravel track from the main country road to Montepulciano leads to Borgo dei Sette Tigli where the large parking place welcomes you. Once you pass the automatic entrance gate little stone pathways decorated with lavender and rosemary cross the lawns to guide you to the various apartments. Colourfully flowering plants and terracotta pots brighten every corner to further embellish the scene.
For the enjoyment of all guests, a luxurious tiled pool (11 x 4.5 meters and 1.50 deep) lies in this idyllic setting fully furnished with sun lounges and sun umbrellas. The pool area also hosts a little brickwork BBQ.

Cortona is a small but fascinating city in the province of Arezzo, Tuscany, central Italy, situated on a commanding hill, and overlooking Lake Trasimeno. Its cyclopean walls reveal its Etruscan origins. It was one of the twelve cities of Etruria and in its vicinity many ruins and Etruscan tombs may be seen. Cortona sided against... Read more

Good Afternoon, Yes, we had a lovely holiday. We were very impressed with Tuscany and it's lovely people. The villa was very good, although there was a shortage of coathangers which we mentioned to Natasha and she brought us some more. We will definitely return but probably to explore a different area, perhaps around Lucca and its surounding countryside. We thought it would have been helpful if the villa contained some information on local markets, etc for the area. Of course the food and wine of Tuscany did help to make a perfect holiday. Thank you!

Dear Manola, Back in Miami I want to tell you that our holiday was truly amazing and it great part it was because of the beauty and quality of the property where we stayed. The place exceeded our expectations in every way. Our apartment was well appointed, with all the comforts we could expect and the surrounding areas were magnificent! We really made it our home and we hope to come back as soon as we can, and next time, we’ll stay longer. Many thanks for all your help in making this a wonderful holiday for me and my family! We will be very glad to recommend it to all our friends! Best Regards,

Dear Manola e Paolo, after our week in Borgo dei 7 Tigli we are all very positive. The appartment was lovely, very clean, it had every utility you could need and the pool was even better than expected. The service from you agency as well as from the employee for the appartment all run very smooth without hassel. Hence, I have no hesitation to recommend the appartment or your agency in the future. Best regards

Hello, I had a wonderful time! The accommodations were great, close to many attractions and the beautiful countryside. The bed was very comfortable. It seemed other places I stayed in Italy the beds were hard and uncomfortable but the bed in the apt was very comfortable. I will definitely consider staying there again and will reccommend it to fellow travelers to Italy. Thanks again,

We had a wonderful stay. Our apartment (No. 6 at Borgo di 7 Tigli) was cheerful, spacious, clean and well equipped. The surrounding property offered rewarding views of vineyards, grazing lands, fields and at least two distant hill towns (Montefollonico and Montepulciano) - I wish we had brought binoculars. Our apartment was in the country 5 km outside of the nearest town, which suited us well -- although we got a bit worn out getting around Montepulciano until we figured out the bus system, found a couple of hilltop parking lots and located the supermarket. This was our first visit to the Tuscan countryside. We found the scenery to be as beautiful as we had imagined, the towns to be fascinating to explore, and the people to be very friendly - I had never been offered a glass of wine at an Internet cafe at closing time before. However, until we got used to it, we were also a little surprised by how completely businesses shut down in the early to mid-afternoon and how the towns seemed to be bereft of local inhabitants during much of the day and early evening on Saturdays and Sundays. I wish that we had been able to stay for more than ten days.

We had the pleasure of staying at your beautiful place in apt. 1. The four of us truly enjoyed our stay for 4 nights in Sept. 2011. We also want to thank Vanessa for all of her assistance in making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable. We had such a wonderful vacation and the location, facilities etc., was exceptional. We hope to come back again, as 4 days was not enough, possibly soon in the future. Many thanks

We stayed for four weeks in apartment 1 at Borgo dei 7 Tigli. It was wonderful. We have been to Italy three times and this was an area that we wanted live and experience. Over the four weeks we shopped at the local markets, learned allot about wine grown around this area and feasted on the seasonal vegetables. The locals began to recognize us when we came into their shop and the open food markets became our main stay for food gathering. We visited all the surrounding small towns around this area and it is truly a wonderful introduction to rural Italian life. A car is a must. Cannot find this place without one and you cannot get anywhere without a car. The drivers there are crazy but we did not experience or see one accident. It is not for the faint of heart. Part of the charm of Italy. Our apartment had a full kitchen. The other units do not. Large enough to fit four people comfortably but we had only two during our stay. Very nicely decorated inside with an ensuite bathroom in one bedroom and a second bathroom down the hall. It also had a washing machine and dishwasher. Had to dry clothes on a rack outside which was not a problem. Beautiful brick and stone work interior. Could have stayed longer.

We had an excellent stay, directions were fine and the place exceeded our expectations. Would have liked an ironing board and coffee mugs to supplement the cups so bought some and left them for the next visitors. Hope to be back next year!

Wow! A relaxing well appointed holiday home. This is central rural position 6km from Torrita di Siena makes it easy to enjoy beautiful Tuscany. With easy day trips with a car to Seina, Arezzo, Cortona, Castiglione del Lago or Firenze to name a few. Quiet, comfortable with a very suitable kitchen facilities, all helping to make a very relaxing home base in the middle of the wine area. A good map and GPS navigation system is a must to find your way in this amazing countryside.
