arrive at the undiscovered places of Tuscany, far from the hoards
of tourists, to discover the truly unspoiled and original, the best
mode of transport is undoubtedly on horseback.
The "Scuderia le Vigne" is located in
the small medieval village of Castelmuzio between the Val d'Orcia
and the Crete Senesi.
At Scuderia le vigne we organize various excursions
on horse back or, for those who don't ride, with horse and carriage,
learning programs of basic riding and jumping for adults and children
and horse riding vacation weeks and week ends.  Le
Vigne is surrounded by a natural reserve, where riders can see deer,
roe deer, pheasants and other fauna. Up and down to the hills you
will discover an unspoiled natural wonderland full of fascinating
and different sights depending on the route you will choose.
 Crossing
the reserve shaded by ancient oak trees, one arrives in a panoramic
position where the entire valley can be admired, overlooking the
ancient city of Pienza and the fortress of Montalcino, continuing
down to Sant'Anna in Camprena the famous monastery of the "English
Patient", to join up with the characteristic Crete Senesi; this
is just one of the numerous and fantastic excursions we can offer
you.
Sisca, Trobao, Samourai, Fiamma and
Stella, our horses are very good and reliable, perfectly adapted
even for beginners and children. Small children could also have the
opportunity of a riding introduction with our small shetland poney
called Pilù. All are very friendly and together with us will
share with you some unforgettable hours, in direct contact with nature.
 In
addition to organizing tours, we also offer riding lessons for those
who would like to learn or to improve their skills before living
for adventure.
Michael and Gaelle the owners and your guides have lived in Tuscany
for many years. They speak fluent Italian, French and English. After
spending years in the famous French and Italian national teams, Michael
chose Tuscany to continue breaking in colt for races and show jumping
events.
How to reach Scuderia Le Vigne
From Rome Airport : - Take the direction for Florence
"Firenze" Motorway "A1"
From Florence : Take the direction For Rome Motorway
"A1" -
Stay on the A1 until you reach the exit for "Val
di Chiana" (also will indicate Siena, Bettolle) - After passing through
the toll plaza, make a left onto the main road. About 1/2 a mile
up you will come to the main intersection of Bettolle. Take a right
following signs for Sinalunga.
Follow that road all the way, it will wind and
pass through a town or two for about 15 minutes. Finally the road
goes down under railway tracks and then dead ends into the town of
Sinalunga. Make a left.
Follow that road out of the town (leaving a first
indication for Trequanda on your right), until the road makes a sharp
left turn. Up ahead you will see a row of cypress on the right, signs
for "Amorosa" and the road following the cypress with signs that
indicate Castelmuzio and Petroio.
Turn onto this road and follow it through a wonderful
winding tour of Tuscan hillsides. - The road will rise continually
until you reach a rock quarry on the right and a tricky intersection.
Continue straight ahead, preceding slowly as the road drops down
and turns simultaneously. On the left you will see the terra cotta
pot factories. Follow this until you reach the intersection at the
town of Petroio.
A road leads up straight ahead into the village
and another to the right leading to our town. Make a right. Follow
this road for 3 chilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left
fork, and follow the road for about 300 mts until you see on you
left a narrow asphalted downhill road hemmed by 6 cypresses. Go down
to this road until you pass a red gate and arrived in a parking where
we stand.
