Dear Manola,
just to let you know that our holiday at Casolare Libbiano was just perfect. Thank you for recommending it to me. We thourghly enjoyed Italy and hope to make further visits in the not to distant future.
Best regards, Julia Deverill
Hi Manola,
Just a quick email to let you know
how fantastic our short stay at Casolare Libbiano was.
Andrea and Berta made us feel incredibly welcome at
their beautiful hotel. Our room was beyond expectation,
the little patio area was a real bonus and the food
absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going back.
Thank you all for arranging it for
us so well.
Thanks again
Ciao, Ian and Fiona Kerswell
Dear Rebecca,
Just wanted to let you know how much
we enjoyed our stay with Andrea and Berta at Il Casolare
di Libbiano. We absolutely loved the place -- it couldn't
have been more beautiful or comfortable. We loved the
food -- we all agreed it was the best we had eaten in
Italy, and we looked forward to dinner each night. We
loved Andrea and Berta -- they were so warm, friendly,
and helpful.
All in all, it was perfect. Thank
you for your help in making it all possible. I will
highly recommend In Tuscany and Il Casolare di Libbiano
to my friends.
Best regards,
Pam Streeter
Dear Manola,
Just a brief note to say how much
we enjoyed our stay in Tuscany.
As you had said Berta and her husband
were excellent hosts and her cooking was exceptional.
Every meal was superb and in a way stopped us discovering
local restaurants because we knew dinner was always
going to be worth returning for!
We did check out a day early but this
was simply due to the Tuscan weather!!
My only small criticism is that the
double rooms are a little small for a stay of more than
a couple of days. We did upgrade to a suite when we
arrived but unfortunately due to the Easter could only
have this for three nights. I wish now that we had booked
a suite for the whole of our stay.
We would certainly return and have
already recommended it to some friends.
Thank you
Stephen Davenport
Dear Manola,
It is about a week since we left Tuscany
and I thought you would appreciate our comments on Casolare
di Libbiano. ------- It has been one of the most best
holidays that we have taken for sometime. The setting
of Casolare was delightful (even though we also live
in a very rural area). The welcome from Andrea and Bertha
was lovely and the atmosphere, food and service was
superb. -- It is one of the few places to which we would
really like to return. We thought the surrounding area
and villages were wonderful, and your directions we
very clear. Do please pass on our best wishes to Andrea
and Bertha and I expect we may be re-booking perhaps
later next year.
Many thanks for your help,
Jeremy Mace
Manola and Rebecca,
Hello, my name is Tracy DeStazio,
and you booked our hotel for us on our recent trip to
Italy. I have been meaning to write to you to tell you
what a FABULOUS time we had! You booked us a room at
Il Casolare di Libbiano, and we LOVED it -- every part
of it. Our room was comfy and we had everything we needed.
We had a crib for our baby, and it was perfect! Berta
even fixed special meals for our baby every night --
and she loved everything she ate. My husband and I could
not believe how delicious the food was -- every single
day we were there. We just couldn't say enough good
things about Il Casolare. We want to go back as soon
as we can.
Thank you for making our reservations
and for putting us in such an enjoyable hotel. If there
was any way -- could you please pass on our thankful
comments and appreciation to Berta and Andrea? I would
recommend their hotel to anyone. In fact, I already
have.
Thank you again.
With much thanks,
Tracy, Marty, and Carmen DeStazio
Hi Manola and Rebecca, you asked me
to let you know how Libbiano was.
We had a great time, and Bertha and
Andrea were really good hosts. The food was excellent,
and Andrea gave us early breakfasts on the days we needed
to be away to catch a train or bus. Train to Florence,
very easy, very busy. Bus to Siena, very easy, quieter
except for going on market day. The bus and train were
easy, and gave us the opportunity to see things without
the worry of paying attention to driving.
I can't fault the place, with the
minor exception that it would have been nice to see
the leaves, dead spiders/crickets/bugs removed from
the pool. You can't have everything though, can you?
Libbiano is an interesting place,
and chatting to Andrea I learned a lot about the origins
of the hamlet, the church, road, spring (water) and
the reasons for Libbiano existing. I advised him to
make more of the historical aspects of the place - but
being Italian, it might be too much trouble.
Andrea taught me some Italian phrases
- I had lots of "Bravo" congratulations throughout
our stay.
We had the dependence suite, which
is the oldest building on site, dating from around 1100;
some of the windows are original, and I have to email
Andrea some of my photographs when I have them ready.
Can you advise me of the email address
please?
Thanks for all your help, we had a
great stay.
P.S. - Rebecca asked me to compare
Tuscany with France. I found Tuscany very busy, more
so than expected, but very pretty with lots of historical
interest. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful,
all of the shops, markets, cafes, seemed to want to
be helpful and to please us with their offering. We
stopped in Castelfiorentino on the way back to Pisa;
the best cafe in Italy is there. Wonderful coffee, beautiful
building, exceptional chocolates and cakes........pity
the town is not as good. On the whole I found Tuscany
too busy; France seems to have more room. But Tuscany
has a lot of interesting places. You pays your money
and takes your choice.......
