Our first stay in Tuscany was at the
San Biaggio in Orbetello. If you like vaulted ceilings,
antiques and no parking
problems then this is the place for you. Orbetello is
a typical Italian resort with good restaurants and a
lively atmosphere in the evenings. For the beach you
need to drive across the causeway to Porto Ercole [10
mins] where you will find the miles of sand, clear calm
water and again a lovely atmosphere.
The hotel is small, beautifully decorated
and air-conditioned. The staff were lovely and they
served great breakfasts. Our bathroom was spacious and decorated in ancient Etruscan
style. I have rarely slept in such a comfortable bed.
We came away from this 10 days completely
blissed out and relaxed. [Plus a bootful of wine, olive
oil and the results of a naughty trip to the Prada outlet!]
Thank you InTuscany for arranging this trip for us which
was done at the very last minute and nearly didn't happen
at all.
