Tenuta di Lupinari is a perfect Tuscan
holiday destination, only 40 minutes from both Florence
and  Siena but immersed in the tranquil beauty of a typical
rural setting. Family owned and managed, this property
has been tastefully restored and outfitted to provide
every thing necessary for a perfect holiday.
The
property has always been the country seat of a noble
family and still to this day produces fine wines and
olive oil. At the turn of the 19th century the owner
decided he needed a more modern residence befitting
his station and contracted Coppede to design a very
imposing and regal castle like mansion in full flung
liberty style.
This magnificent and very amusing
structure dominates the landscape in the most delightful
way, making Tenuta di Lupinari quite unique in the area.
 The original 16th century noble villa and the farm buildings
involved on wine and olive oil production are still
intact. They can be seen nestling along the drive way
that leads to the apartment complex.
An elegant restaurant serves breakfast
daily and dinner three times a week, special diets can
be catered to upon request.
ACCOMODATION: There
are 8 apartments and 5 bedroom suites above the main
reception. They have been restored from a small complete
village that once provided housing for the estate workers
and peasants. It is located above and behind the main
villa and commands wonderful views, complete privacy
from outsiders, peace and tranquillity.
 Each apartment has one or two bedrooms,
a discreet kitchen and an out door terrace for dining
al fresco. Many are split level, some have large walk
in wardrobes and/or open fire places.The bigger apartments
sleeping six or more people have dishwashers.
All come with air conditioning, telephone, satellite
television (two English stations) and luxurious European
style feather counterpanes in winter.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: The
pool (20 x 8 meters)is in it’s own garden. It
is well furnished with tables, chairs, umbrellas and
sun lounges and several charming wrought iron pagodas
that are in keeping with the architectural style of
the main villa.
 From the pool one can see vine yards, olive groves,
natural wooded areas and some distant medieval villages,
the landscape has remained virtually unchanged over
the course of the centuries.
The gardens abound with rose beds, lavender hedges,
geraniums in pots and acres of immaculately mown rolling
lawns. The property is approached by a regal avenue
of ancient Cyprus trees.
LOCATION: Tenuta di Lupinari is near to Florence
and Siena as well as with easy reach of most important
Tuscan places of interest. The nearest airport is Florence- ½ an hour, then Pisa -about 1 ½ hours
and Rome airport 2 ½ hours by car.
