ACCOMODATION: Villa Belpoggio offers a junior suite, one single and
eight double bedrooms, each having its own private and
new bathroom. It also has three self catering apartments.
All rooms have air conditioning, with
the exception of three due to artistic and historical
obligations. All rooms have mini bar-fridge, tea/coffee
maker, phone, television, safe.
 Bed linen and towels will be changed daily.
Each room is unique, with fine furniture
and many antiques that have been made by local craftsmen,
heirs to the traditional art of wood and iron carving.
Colours have been chosen and matched with great care.

DINING: The surrounding
country side is littered with wonderful restaurants,
trattorias and pizzerias. Breakfast is served at the
villa and included in the price of your stay.
In
colder weather it is served in the old cellars - dug
into the rocky foundations and supported by traditional
red brick vaulting. Once the olive oil and the wine
were kept there. In warmer weather breakfast is served
outside, in a cosy corner of the garden, close to the
ancient small church.
A word from the management: All our
food is fresh, of local and not industrial production.
On the buffet you will find either "sweet"
delicacies and "salty" titbits, together with
fruit in season.
During the day, on request, sandwiches
and tasting of local products can be prepared. Coffee and tea are always available
at your disposal in each bedroom.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: In order to truly describe the
unique beauty of Belpoggio one must talk about the villa,
the landscape, and the garden as a whole. The vast scenery
of the landscape can be found in each detail of the
garden, and the garden underlines the beauty of the
villa.
 From
the belvedere one looks over the Pratomagno woods, the
Chianti mountains and the Arno valley up to the Val
di Chiana. In front of the small church, in the shade
of a big chestnut tree, on the lawn next to the fountain,
one can relax and go back to an earlier, slower time.
The pool (6x10m or about 19x32 ft)
is unique with its stone surround and has been built
out of an old basin which was once used to collect water
for the fields. The pool has been designed keeping in
mind the relationship of the landscape, the surrounding
farm land and the feel of Belpoggio.
Five minutes from the villa, tennis
is available in the small village of Montalto. Horseback
riding is also available nearby. Mountain bikes for
hire.
 LOCATION: Belpoggio
is near to Florence and Arezzo as well as with easy
reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The
nearest airport is Florence 55 km or about 34 miles.
Pisa airport is 150 km or about 93 miles and Rome airports
are about 220 km or 136 miles.
