Festival of Migrant Music in Florence
"Music of People" is back. This is the 35th edition of the festival, which gathers in Florence the musical traditions of the farthest countries. The 2010 edition is called Migrant Music, a self-explainatory title. It is held from October 2nd to 30th, in the usual location of the Flog Auditorium, and a rehersal in Teatro Dante at Campi Bisenzio.
Artists come from the farthest corners of the world: from Colombia (La 33, the most known salsa band in Bogotà), Finland (Sväng, the harmonica quartet), Portugal (1300-Mafaldcom by Mafalda Anauth).
The Mare Nostrum trio, on schedule on October 23rd, gathers excellent musicians: Paolo Fresu, Richard Galliano and swedish piano player Jan Lundgren.
