up to Il Fienilino, situated just 13 kilometers or about
8 miles from Florence this charming apartment will make
your holiday that bit more special.
 Il
Fienilino was an old hay barn and is about 50 meters
or yards from Villa
Paola which was the original farm house. The
two properties can be rented together or separately
and share a pool.
Situated in open countryside very
close to Florence, Il Fienilino has been completely
and lovingly restored to make a beautiful and comfortable
holiday home, here in the heart of Tuscany.
Care has been taken to use traditional
materials throughout, preserving the original feel and
architectural integrity of the property. Signora Paola
(the owner and your hostess) spent years scouring local
antique markets around Montelupo Fiorentino collecting
ancient tiles and ceramics so typical of the area. She
lives with her family in a seventeenth century villa
about 100 meters or yards from Il Fienile. Signora Paola
and her family are always happy to oblige with advice
and assistance whilst also respecting your privacy.
ACCOMODATION: The
ground floor has original exposed stone walls. There
is a comfortable living room with table, chairs and
double sofa bed.
 The
living room is connected to the eat in kitchen which,
with its open atmosphere and fireplace, represents the
heart of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped with
oven, hob, clothes washing machine and fridge and leads
directly onto the garden. There is also a full bathroom
off the kitchen.
On the first floor are two bedrooms
- one with a king size double bed, the other with two singles.
Both rooms have fine views over the garden and there
is a bathroom with all comforts between the two rooms.
Thanks to a double entrance, the garden
may be accessed either from the living room or the kitchen.
The patio is equipped for dining al fresco and planted
with lemon trees in pots and fresh rosemary.
There is a plasma television
satellite, dish washer, washing machine, hair dryers in both bathrooms and C.D. player.  There
is also no telephone but good reception for guests own
cell phones and a pay phone in the nearby village. The owners can provide a mobile telephone for free and you will only payfor the calls.
There is air conditioning in both the bedrooms and in the living room.
THE
GARDEN AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT: The garden,
surrounded by olive trees, is ideal for barbecues, and
is equipped with a sun terrace with chairs, table and
sun-shades. The garden is very large and affords guests
complete peace and privacy.
Guests have use of a swimming pool
(6 x 12 meters or 19.69 x 39.37 ft.) that is hidden
in the grounds of the villa. It is 30 meters or yards
away, and shared with guests of Villa
Paola.
 There is private parking and barbeque.
LOCATION: Il Fienilino
is near to Florence at Lastra a Signa as well as with
easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest.
The nearest airport is Florence airport about half an
hour, Pisa is one hour and Rome just under three hours.
OTHER FACILITIES AVAILABLE
NEAR BY: Should you wish a night off from cooking
then there is a restaurant within walking distance,
just 350 meters or yards down the road. You can play
golf at Club Le Pavoniere and Golf Club Ugolino (both
eighteen hole).
There is horse-riding about 3 kilometers
or 1 ½ miles away and fishing at 700 meters or
yards. The nearest largish town is Lastra a Signa at
1.5 kilometers or less than a mile, which is also the
distance to the nearest bus stop, buses depart for Florence
at most times every fifteen minutes.
