Thanks to the
extraordinary location, Il Sasseto and its swimming
pool enjoy amazing 360° views over the Val d'Orcia.
The sunset in the evening is utterly unforgettable!
Il
Sasseto was built in the 15th to 16th century and restored
in 2000. It has a remarkable feeling one can immediately
appreciate and is a refined and comfortable farmhouse.
This villa is particularly suited to extended families,
groups of friends of colleagues as it consists of an
ancient main building, one more recently annexed and
also two independent guest suites with a front patio.
It is almost more like a small self
contained village, with each little house only steps
from the other and all private to your party. In between
the garden is pleasingly planted with a designer mix
of Rosemary, Lavander and Laurel. The interior combines some very well
preserved original features and the furnishings are
a pleasing mixture of antique and contemporary. The
rooms are open and lofty with no small cramped spaces.
Il Sasseto has a telephone
extension in each bedroom, a hairdryer in each bathroom,
a bathroom for every bedroom and a designer kitchen
with cooker and oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. It also has a washing machine, iron and iron
board, television in the living room and video recorder
(on request). The
beds are comfortable and capacious with 100% pure cotton
sheets and towels. The baker passes each morning in
his van with bread still hot from the oven. You’ll
be in the lap of luxury and never want to go home.
ACCOMODATION: The
internal living space comprises 475 m² (or 5113
sq.ft.) as well as large well furnished out door areas
for relaxing and dining al fresco.
Ground level: Annex housing a furhter
living/dining room and connected to the house by a covered
walk way. Two small cottages on either side of a small,
furnished terrace. One has a bedroom with queen size
bed and en-suite bathroom, the other has one bedroom
with two adult sized single beds, and an en-suite bathroom
with bathtub and hand shower.
Main house , ground floor: living
room with fireplace. Kitchen with stove top, oven, fridge
and dishwasher. Half bath. Three bedrooms, each with
an en-suite bathroom with shower, one with a queen size
bed and the others with two adult sized single beds.
First floor: Spiral stairway to a
furnished landing with doors to external stone stairs
to the grounds. Three bedrooms, each with two adult
sized single beds and en-suite bathrooms, two with shower
and one with tub and hand shower. Please
note that this villa does not have air conditioning,
due to the high altitude and thick walls of the villa
it is simply not necessary.
There a short distance on a gravel
road to arrive at this villa, whilst it would not be
a problem for an ordinary sedan, you might not want
to bring theFerrari on this holiday.
