This is an independent villa, covering 200 square metres, and extending over two storeys, plus the traditional Tuscan dovecot on its rooftop, now converted into a luxurious bathroom. Although recently fully renovated, the interiors nonetheless retain many typical characteristics of 19th century farmhouses in this part of Chianti, the Pesa Valley (Val di Pesa).

The building dates back to the beginning of the 19 th century, when it formed part of Count Bandini's farm estate. This bordered on to the village of Sant'Andrea in Percussiva, where Niccolò Machiavelli lived.

The villa is painted an eye-catching pale pink and its interiors feature the restored terracotta-tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings and whitewashed walls, as well as the typical Tuscan wrought-iron bedsteads, of the past.

A stone staircase leads to the upper floor with its 4 double bedrooms. Each bedroom is air-conditioned. There are two bathrooms on this level.

However, the third and most spectacular, located in the former rooftop dovecot, is accessed via another flight of stairs and boasts a state-of-the-art, ergonomically-designed, jacuzzi-jet bathtub, for those luxurious soaks! Walls and floors are stylishly tiled in a vibrant combination of burnt-sienna and oatmeal coloured marble! We bet you won't want to come down to earth again!

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL

The villa is encircled by wooded hills and just to the other side of the lovely outdoor pool (12 x 6 metrs, 1.30 deep), beyond the gravel access road, lies a little lake enclosed by vegetation, all ensuring the utmost peace and quiet of a secluded countryside setting.

Under shady gazebo you can also enjoy the befits of the external Jacuzzi pool with hydromassage for 6 persons.

Plenty of opportunities for relaxation are provided by sunshades and loungers on the stone terrace at the front of the property, which overlooks a second, lower-level suntrap terrace surrounding the pool. To one side of the villa there is also a sheltered, walled area with a shady gazebo, an ideal spot for al fresco dining.
