Villa Il Forte was at the origin (century 13/14) a fortified position, elements of which have come to light, such as the colonnade surrounding the courtyard and the walls of the tower structure, elements that have made possible a particularly refined restoration and the creation of environments of charm. Even the terracotta floor is specially manufactured with a mixture of black kaolin to get the gray-brown colour to harmonize with the walls made of local stone.

Villa Il Forte is situated near to San Donato in Collina, only 14 km from Florence, well connected to many art sites, and is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and forest trees: an ideal place for a restful and cultural holiday. The villa is entirely equipped with ecological, sustainable energy sources, as solar cells for electricity and geothermic system for heating and air conditioning.

The separate "Fitness House" with hydromassage, sauna, equipment for gym and bar, is located half way between "La Leopoldina" and "Villa Il Forte". Its use will be exclusive for the first clients who will reserve it for an extra cost. The orientation of the common areas of the two villas (pools, dining rooms, barbecue ...) ensures complete autonomy and intimacy to each of the two residential areas.

ACCOMODATION

Villa Il Forte can easily accomodate 12 people (plus 4 in the adjacent dependence) in luxurious comfort. Available facilities: air conditioning, heating, fireplace, satellite TV, internet connection, washing machine, dryer, baby bed (upon request), barbecue, private swimming pool, parking place. The kitchen is professionally fully equipped. Here you will find a dishwasher, oven, stove, double sink, large fridge, American Coffee maker and more.

The villa is divided in 3 floors. On the ground floor there are large living rooms, wine tasting room, professional kitchen and a large double bedroom (king size) with en suite bathroom. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 triple) with en suite bathrooms and 1 single bedroom with a bathroom next door. On the second floor there is another double bedroom (king size) with en suite bathroom.

Adjacent the Villa there is a dependence (80 mq) with kitchen, 2 double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom (one with shower and one with tub). Perfect for 4 people. 

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL

In the garden you find a gazebo organized for dining al fresco or just relaxing. The swimming pool (6 x 12 and deep from 1,20 to 2,80 meters) is open from April to October.

The area around the villa is arranged as a country garden, including centuries old olive trees; a gazebo placed between the two villas suitable for rest, reading etc.
