Villa Olivella is a sumptuous independent villa (160 M²), with an extensive landscaped garden, it would be difficult to find such comfort and beautifully tended grounds in a five star hotel.

Set in undulating acres of olive groves and vineyards, the villa has an irresistible combination of contemporary comfort and traditional character. With very high ceilings, traditional cotto floors, heavy wooden beams, and a large stone fireplace on the ground floor this villa is really lux. The large living/dining room has French windows that open onto a splendid covered Loggia with views of San Miniato tower.

ACCOMODATION

The kitchen is fully-equipped with 4 ring burner, oven, fridge and freezer, micro wave, dishwasher. It opens into the living room and then onto a huge terrace with its impressive iron gazebo. It is the perfect spot for memorable al fresco meals. 

Also on the ground floor is the enormous and very luxuriously furnished living and dining room with inviting open fire place and numerous sprawling but elegant arm chairs and sofas. Two double rooms: master double bedroom with en suite bathroom with tub, double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a third bathroom for communal use complete the picture. Air conditioning available on request payable locally.

With a separate external entrance but in the same building is also a large laundry with washing machine and ironing facilities. A cook, extra maid service or extra towels and linens are all available for a small additional fee.

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL

The villa swimming pool (19 x 9 meters, depth 1,00 - 2,7 meters) is arguably one of the most spectacular in Tuscany and has an adjacent children's pool (9 x 4 meters, depth 30 cm) with a magnificent sun terrace which enjoys glorious views across the vineyards and undulating hills of Chianti. The pool is so attractive that you may well prefer to spend most of your time there!

Please note that he owner lives in the next villa (about five minutes on foot, in case of an emergency).

Villa Olivella is near to Empoli as well as with easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. It is only about 20 minutes to San Gimignano and Vinci (the birth place of Leonardo), ½ an hour to Volterra or Florence, one hour to Siena.

The nearest airport is Florence airport (less than ½ an hour), then Pisa is about one hour and Rome (3 hours by car).

 High season booking strictly saturday to saturday. Other arrival days considered on request in medium and low season.
Conditions: 

DEPOSIT: A deposit of 37% of the total letting price is payable at the time of booking. It may be paid by credit card or wire transfer. Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent notice confirming your payment with contact and arrival information.

BALANCE: The balance is due no later than 56 days (8 weeks) prior to the beginning of the letting period and must be sent to InTuscany via credit card or wire transfer. If the balance is not paid by the appropriate date, the letting agreement will be deemed to be invalid and the deposit forfeited. ‘InTuscany’ will send you a reminder when the balance is due and advise you how to send the money.

CANCELLATION: In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel all or part of your holiday we will have to charge either:

a) deposit only - if cancellation is received more than 8 weeks before letting, or
b) Total rent - if cancellation is received less than 8 weeks before letting.

INSURANCE: All tenants are advised to consider insurance needs in relation to travel, accident, medical and personal cover; 'In Tuscany' can not accept liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by tenants.

IN THE EVENT OF DISPUTE: all disputes will be heard in the court of Montepulciano.

Dear Manola, I had hoped to find a minute to email you when we first arrived home …to tell you how wonderful our trip was!! It is so easy to fall back into the busy regular schedule once you return home from vacation. When I consider how close we came to not even finding a place… we were so delighted that, in the end, we were able to reserve Villa Olivella! What a beautiful villa and Mrs. Birindelli was so lovely. It was a bit of a challenge to communicate as we both had very limited knowledge of the opposite language…. But we managed very well and it made it all the more interesting. She was a wonderful hostess and very sweet. So I definitely hope that Peter and I will be able to reserve the same villa another time for sure. It would be an idyllic spot for 2 couples but for this trip. Peter and I were so happy to be independent for this particular trip. We had both had a very busy and demanding work schedule over the winter and spring so the Villa Olivella was the right place for well deserved and much needed rest and relaxation! It was a truly the trip of a lifetime dream for us! Thank you for your help in making it come true!
