Villa Paola

Large traditional Florentine country villa in immaculate garden, Villa Paola is sure to provide a simply perfect and timeless Tuscan vacation.

The villa is located at roughly 50 meters or yards from another smaller independent accommodation called Il Fienilino which sleeps 4+2 and used to be the hay barn for the big house. The two properties can be rented together or separately and share the pool.

The villa it’s self is divided into two separate apartments; the ground floor is home to the owner signora Paola and her family, with the upper floor given over completely to the rental apartment. They have separate entrances and are completely surrounded by a large garden that is very meticulously kept. There is a private gazebo in the garden for the use of guests, equipped with tables and chairs for al fresco eating and relaxing.

The apartment on the first floor is designed and furnished in a classic elegant style. The owner has personally directed the restoration of the house and her impeccable taste in colour and fabrics is seen throughout. Use of soft "Siena yellow" or orange, green and red adds to the luminosity of the first floor furnishings, and stands out from the wood beamed ceilings, brickwork, and wood and terracotta floors.

Signora Paola and her family are always available for advice and assistance with being respectful of your privacy.

ACCOMODATION

The apartment has a television room and a separate kitchen/dining room with full refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, 4-burner range, italian and american coffee machine, dishwasher and dryer, TV Sat and wi-fi connexion.

There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The 'green' bedroom has two single beds, the 'red' bedroom has a double bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower, and the 'yellow' bedroom also is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom. The fourth bedroom is a double. All the bedrooms have air conditioning. There are two additional bathrooms, one of which has a shower. Hair dryers are available in all the bathrooms.

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL

The garden, surrounded by olive trees, is ideal for barbecues, and is equipped with a sun terrace with chairs, table and sun-shades. The garden is very large and affords guests complete peace and privacy.

Guests have use of a swimming pool (12 x 6 meters, depth 1.2 to 1.9) that is hidden in the grounds of the villa. It is 30 meters away, and shared with guests of Il Fienilino.

There is private parking, barbeque and the use of mountain bikes.

Villa Paola is near to Florence at Lastra a Signa as well as with easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The nearest airport is Florenceairport about half an hour, Pisa is one hour and Rome just under three hours.

OTHER FACILITIES AVAILABLE NEAR BY: Should you wish a night off from cooking then there is a restaurant within walking distance, just 350 meters or yards down the road. You can play golf at Club Le Pavoniere and Golf Club Ugolino (both eighteen hole).

The owner can also organize cooking classes, wine and oil tasting, baby sitter service.

There is horse-riding about 3 kilometers away and fishing at 700 meters. The nearest largish town is Lastra a Signa at 2 kilometers, which is also the distance to the nearest bus stop, buses depart for Florence at most times every fifteen minutes.

 High season booking strictly saturday to saturday. Other arrival days considered on request in medium and low season.
Conditions: 

DEPOSIT: A deposit of 37% of the total letting price is payable at the time of booking. It may be paid by credit card or wire transfer. Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent notice confirming your payment with contact and arrival information.

BALANCE: The balance is due no later than 56 days (8 weeks) prior to the beginning of the letting period and must be sent to InTuscany via credit card or wire transfer. If the balance is not paid by the appropriate date, the letting agreement will be deemed to be invalid and the deposit forfeited. ‘InTuscany’ will send you a reminder when the balance is due and advise you how to send the money.

CANCELLATION: In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel all or part of your holiday we will have to charge either:

a) deposit only - if cancellation is received more than 8 weeks before letting, or
b) Total rent - if cancellation is received less than 8 weeks before letting.

INSURANCE: All tenants are advised to consider insurance needs in relation to travel, accident, medical and personal cover; 'In Tuscany' can not accept liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by tenants.

IN THE EVENT OF DISPUTE: all disputes will be heard in the court of Montepulciano.

Thank you, because you both helped us quite a bit--

THANK YOU, for suggesting Villa Paola. They loved it – it was cold the first night but the people called the next day and had someone out to fix the pipes and all was well. The heat was good after that.

Signora Paola and her husband were away in Nepal ( I think that's what they told me) and our people L-O-V-E-D their replacement, the Daughter named Victoria. "She was so sweet, so caring, so beautiful, so helpful..." I'm not exaggerating... they couldn't say enough about her.

The dinner the first night was magnificent. Appetizer of Liver Pate, wonderful Chicken in Tuscan style, with vegetables, fresh rolls, etc and Tiramasu for desert that was "out of this world". They ate downstairs in the main dining room. Lovely.

Victoria went in with them to Florence for part of a day and got them oriented and met them in a blizzard snow storm when they came back to La Signa by train. The roads were horrible. They WERE THANKING THEIR LUCKY STARS THAT YOU SUGGESTED THE VILLA NEAR FLORENCE AS IT WAS EVEN MORE DEADLY TO THE SOUTH. They said that nobody knows how to deal with snow when it is not expected.

They visited Siena and San Gimignano but because of the snow, had to turn back after two hours of fighting the roads and not seeing so no Montepulciano.

They all want to go back! So, I am saying Multo bene grazie to you . NOW I WANT HUNDREDS OF TRAVELERS SO THAT I CAN SEND THEM TO VILLA PAOLA.

Please know that as soon as I have some people for villas in Italy, I will contact you.
