Built in attractive Tuscan pale stone, with a traditional terracotta-tiled pitched roof, this villa extends over two storeys, as follows:

Ground floor: Featuring traditional pale yellow-washed walls, terracotta-tiled / wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors adorned with rugs, the decor in the spacious downstairs day-rooms is characterised by elegant simplicity. Many pieces of furniture are original antiques, with a profusion of fine natural wood.

A plush, upholstered suite graces the entrance hall and in the bright living-room sofa and armchairs are grouped round the large central fireplace. There are a separate dining-room and a rustic-style, fitted kitchen, providing outside access through French doors. One twin bedroom (can be moved together on request) and one bathroom with shower. The bedsteads are hand-crafted in traditional Tuscan wrought-iron and some have elegant, fine net hangings around them. From all the upper-floor windows magnificent panoramic views of the unspoilt surrounding countryside can be enjoyed.

The villa’s gravel surround, with its adjoining lawns dotted with mature, shade-giving trees, boasts an idyllic backdrop of wooded hills and the peaceful green valley below. A choice of two welcoming patios entice you to relax and unwind outdoors, maybe while lingering over an aperitif or savouring a leisurely al fresco meal. Surmounted by a pergola covered by a centuries-old, profusely rambling grapevine, the spacious front terrace leads directly into the house. Alternatively, from the kitchen you can access the villa’s side patio, where a newly planted grapevine provides welcome shade on a second pergola. Here a large stone table, seating up to 10 people, stands alongside the built-in BBQ and marble sink unit.
