Villa Argiano

Villa Argiano is a picturesque 6 bedroom villa that sleeps up to 15 and offers a full Tuscan experience. The villa has breathtaking views of Montepulciano and Cortona and is surrounded as far as the eye can see by vineyards that produce some of the finest wine in the region. Originally built in the 1850’s as part of a large wine and olive oil producing estate, the villa has recently been carefully restored, respecting the traditions and original materials of Tuscany.   

Today, the owners of Villa Argiano carry on the tradition, producing a boutique wine and olive oil. As part of the experience, visitors of Villa Argiano are invited free of charge to take part in a wine tasting with the owner, who not only makes wine but also is a graduated sommelier trained in Montalcino, Tuscany. 

ACCOMODATION

On the ground level there are 3 large air conditioned bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, a family-style kitchen with large six burner stove and the ‘great room’. The great room is characterized by brick arches that span the length and width of the room and connects two living room areas and a dining room with comfortable over-stuffed furniture that provides a get-together point for families and friends.

Upstairs, is found two more very spacious air conditioned bedrooms both with generous in-suite bathrooms (one with a large corner bathtub and shower). Also, upstairs is another living room to relax and second fully equipped kitchen with fireplace and grill. Finally, the sixth bedroom, also en-suite and air conditioned, is located in a guest cottage next to the main villa, and with a small living room and sofa bed sleeps up to three.

The villa is decorated with a timeless, classic Italian style that combines country charm with modern luxury such as air conditioning in all bedrooms, and spacious bedrooms and showers. There is a WI-FI network, TV and DVD player.

Also free of charge, guests of Villa Argiano will find a welcome basket of breakfast items and kitchen amenities. A fruit orchard on the property is available for free snacking anytime, and there are varieties that mature continually May through October. All cultivation processes are strictly organic. 

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL

Villa Argiano has a 10 x 5 meter (deph 1.60 meter) swimming pool, that benefits from full sun from sunrise to sunset, and with spectacular views of Montepulciano and Cortona and also of the vineyards in the valley below.

There are several terraces and covered patio areas, all highlighting different aspects of the panorama, to enjoy al fresco dining. BBQ available.

Perched on a hill, Villa Argiano is only 5 kilometres from Sant'Albino Terme in the heart of southern Tuscany. It's an excellent location from which to explore all of central Italy. The village of Sant'Albino Terme offers all the amenities included restaurants, bars, supermarket and all kind of shops. Not to mention the Valdichiana outlet village where more 100 shops of the main modern brands welcome you just 20 minutes from the property.

The village of Montepulciano is only five minutes by car and the nearest exit from the highway is only 20 minutes away.

 High season booking strictly saturday to saturday. Other arrival days considered on request in medium and low season.
Conditions: 

DEPOSIT: A deposit of 37% of the total letting price is payable at the time of booking directly to 'InTuscany'. It may be paid by credit card or wire transfer. Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent via e-mail a voucher confirming your reservation with contact information for the owners and the phone number of the villa.

BALANCE: The balance is due no later than 56 days (8 weeks) prior to the beginning of the letting period and must be paid directly to InTuscany by wire transfer or credit card. If the balance is not paid by the appropriate date, the letting agreement will be deemed to be invalid and the deposit forfeited. ‘InTuscany’ will send you a reminder when the balance is due and advise you how to send the money.

CANCELLATION: In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel all or part of your holiday we will have to charge either:

a) deposit only - if cancellation is received more than 8 weeks before letting, or
b) Total rent - if cancellation is received less than 8 weeks before letting.

INSURANCE: All tenants are advised to consider insurance needs in relation to travel, accident, medical and personal cover; 'In Tuscany' can not accept liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by tenants.

IN THE EVENT OF DISPUTE: all disputes will be heard in the court of Montepulciano.

We stayed at Villa Argiano in April and loved it from the moment we saw it. It is the idyllic Italian villa to enjoy your holidays. There is a lot of space for everyone and you will never feel you're invading people's space. The kitchen leads into the terrace so that you can enjoy your holiday around the pool - a luxury. I love that the historic center of Montepulciano is close by and you can enjoy the quiet Tuscan hills or get to the action with a 10 minute car ride. The owners, Maurizio and Jenny are extremely knowledgeable about the area and were always there to guide us. Well worth making the trip.

Villa Argiano is located amongst plentiful vineyards in a prime spot, a few minutes from the adorable town of Montepulciano. From there, we made several daytrips, including Assisi and Florence. The charming Villa provides a wonderful home base with gorgeous views & excellent accommodations. The rooms are spacious and warmly appointed with a gorgeous ceramic tile floor and the most comfortable beds of our trip. We stayed on the first floor and had use of the living area as well as the wonderful kitchen & outdoor charcoal grill, which we certainly appreciated. During our stay, we enjoyed several runs along the roads from the Villa. It's hard to beat the amazing landscape as a running backdrop! Jennifer & Maurizio were outstanding hosts, providing all the information & assistance we needed. The wine was delicious and touring the vineyard and orchard was a highlight. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone wishing to enjoy Tuscany's most beautiful area.

Staying on your property was a wonderful experience and from an artistic standpoint very inspiring -- I was glad to have a camera with me there and took the time to do a lot of writing/drawing as well. I suppose we become accustomed to our surroundings after a certain period, but I hope you can still take time to appreciate the fantastic countryside you live in. It is an amazing place.
