Villa
Bruschetti is an ancient noble estate that is immersed
in the peaceful countryside surrounding Empoli. It is
laid out on three levels and furnished with elegant
antiques, decorative floors and elaborately frescoed
ceilings. There is an especially impressive ornamental
fireplace adoring the dining room.
A classical garden, part formal (Italian
garden), part natural, complete with towering cypress
trees, creates an elegant backdrop from which to admire
the lush surrounding Florentine hills. From the house
itself, and especially from the dining terrace, there
are a marvelous views of the Florentine hills.
Included in the price is 6 hours of
maid service per week so that you can really kick back
and relax. Additional maid service or a cook can be
reserved with advance notice.
ACCOMODATION: At the heart of the villa's ground floor is a large elegant living room with frescoed ceilings and a fireplace. Doors open onto a furnished loggia with wonderful views. Also on the ground floor are a fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) with fireplace, a second, smaller living room, a formal dining room, also with fireplace, a breakfast room with access to the garden, and a half bathroom with a washing machine.
Upstairs are eight bedrooms, seven with en suite bathrooms each with tub and hand-held shower
At the top of the stairs on the right are three twin bedrooms - two with en suite bathrooms with tubs and the other sharing a bathroom with tub with a double bedroom. On the left of the landing there is a sitting-cum-TV room followed by a further two double bedrooms and two bathrooms one of which en suite; the other is shared with another one bedroom this with a French-size bed. On a slightly raised level there is access to a single bedroom, again with French-size bed and en suite bathroom. These last three bathrooms are equipped with half-size tubs.
With the exception of the 2nd floor bedroom and the kitchen (which are simpler and more rustic), the interiors are furnished with elegant antiques. Most of the rooms have very decorative floors, in colorful tile or patterned hardwood, and elaborately frescoed ceilings. The dining room also has an impressive ornamental fireplace.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: The garden is a delight, clipped
box hedges, ancient cypress, complete privacy and all
around the amazing views. Please note that due to stipulations
set in place by the Belli Arte (National Trust/Heritage)
the pool is above ground and quite small (9x4 meters
or 29.53 x 13.12 ft.) but delightful none the less and
big enough to cool off in.
LOCATION: Villa
Bruschetti is near to Florence as well as with easy
reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The
nearest airport is Florence airport (about ½
an hour) Pisa is under an hour and Rome airports are
approximately 3 hours distant.
Empoli, with a supermarket, shops,
and restaurants is a five minute drive away. In addition
to Florence being only 30 minutes away, a 45 minute
drive leads to San Gimignano.
This strategic location is ideal for
numerous day trips. Siena, Cortona, and Montepulciano,
Cinque Terre in Liguria and Bologna in Emilia Romagna
can all be reached within 90 minute drives.

Please
note: This property does not have air conditioning.
Air conditioning is rarely necessary in Tuscany due
to the lack of humidity and the temperate climate. Almost
all of our properties at InTuscany are in remodeled
medieval or renaissance buildings. They generally have
very thick walls and high ceilings, most are built on
the tops of our gently rolling hills where they catch
the breezes that spring up at mid day and in the evenings.
Generally air conditioning is only
found by the sea side or in the city centers where noise
and/or humidity make it necessary. We do not have air
conditioning in our offices or in any of our own homes.
