Modest country cottage with private
swimming pool and covered rustic BBQ area. Casa Martini
is half way between Florence and Siena making it perfect
for a classic Tuscan holiday.
 Unprepossessing
but with every thing necessary, this holiday cottage
is perfectly located in the heart of the Chianti area.
It is embedded in a landscape replete with green forests
and vineyards, a veritable oasis of calm and contentment.
The owners produce their own Chianti
wine and extra virgin olive oil that can be purchased
for use during your holiday or to take back home.
The kitchen is built in and has a
dish washer, oven and food processor. The furnishings
are simple and typical of the region. There is no phone
but good reception for guests own cell phones.
 Please note that there is 700 meters
or yards of gravel drive to reachthehouse, a normal
sedan would not find this a problem but you might want
to thinktwice aboutbringing your Ferarri.
ACCOMODATION: The accommodation consists of a kitchen, a
living/dining room with satellite television, and traditional
open fire place, two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom
and a bathroom with a bath and a shower. There is an
external laundry room with washing machine.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: The pool is on a terrace a few
steps from the house and looks out over vineyards and
rolling Tuscan hills.  It is 5 x 10 meters (16.4 x 32.81
ft.) and has sun lounges and chairs. The garden has
dense shady places but is also well positioned for sun
basking. It is planted with native flora such as olive
trees androsemary.
LOCATION: Villa
Casa martini is near to Florence and Siena as well aswith easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest.
The nearest airport is Florence airport (about 30 minutes
in the car), Pisa is an hour and a half and Rome arports
are about two and a half hours away.
OTHER
FACILITIES AVAILABLE NEAR BY: Golf, the beach,
horse riding, hiking, wine tasting, fabulous dining,
thermal spas, Hot air balloon flying, designer out let
shopping, Renaissance and  medieval art and architecture.
Please note: This property does not
have air conditioning. Air conditioning is rarely necessary
in Tuscany due to the lack of humidity and the temperate
climate. Almost all of our properties at InTuscany are
in remodeled medieval or renaissance buildings. They
generally have very thick walls and high ceilings, most
are built on the tops of our gently rolling hills where
they catch the breezes that spring up at mid day and
in the evenings.
Generally air conditioning is only
found by the sea side or in the city centers where noise
and/or humidity make it necessary. We do not have air
conditioning in our offices or in any of our own homes.
