early 16th century, Villa dei Medici will immerse you

(about 25 miles) west of Florence, this is the classic
Tuscan setting. This lovely old house is 5km (about
3 miles) from Vinci, which was home to Leonardo and
gave the Renaissance genius his name. The old city has
lost none of its charm over the intervening centuries,
and it is an excellent starting point for excursions
around Tuscany.
Skilful renovation has only enhanced
the original features of this fine old Tuscan villa.
It has a country-style fireplace and terracotta-tiled
floors, while the bedrooms have parquet flooring. It
perfectly marries with every modern comfort. Relaxation
is assured during your vacation in Tuscany, thanks to
satellite TV, dishwasher and a good oven.
ACCOMODATION: Covering
300m² (3229 sq.ft.) this sizable Tuscan holiday
villa is laid out as follows:
 The ground floor has a living room with typical rustic
Tuscan fireplace. The living room connects with the
outside loggia; there is a further living room, a bathroom,
kitchen and formal dining room.
The kitchen has dishwasher and microwave
oven. The living room has satellite television.
The first floor has a single bedroom;
a twin bedroom with bathroom with shower; two double
bedrooms sharing a bathroom with tub; a master bedroom
with two windows and bathroom with shower; and a terrace.
A hair dryer is available on request
and there is a private washing machine. Please note
that there is no telephone but good reception for guests
own cell phones. The owner will also lend you a cell
phone with a pay as you go card for calls, in return
for a security deposit against loss or damage.
 Guest parking is 50 meters or about
50 yards from the villa.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT: Set
in a marvelous landscape rich in culture (and with fantastic
views) this recently renovated property is surrounded
by acres of completely enclosed grounds: access is via
a remote-controlled, wrought iron gate. It is the ideal
spot for a completely relaxing holiday in Tuscany. Its
beautiful garden has extensive lawns and olive groves,
garden furniture, a barbecue, a fully-equipped covered
loggia , and a brand new 6 x12m (19.69 ft x 39.37 ft)
swimming pool.
LOCATION: Villa Medici
is near to Vinci as well as with easy reach of most
important Tuscan places of interest. The nearest airport
is Florence (45 kilometers or about 28 miles, Pisa is
60 kilometers or about 37 miles and Rome airport is
about 300 kilometers or about 186 miles.

NEAR BY: The nearest supermarket is 3km (just
under 2 miles) in Sovigliana. Empoli lies 4km (about
2 ½ miles) away, with its various shops, railway
station for Florence, Pisa or Siena. Florence
is 40km (just under 325 miles) away, Pisa 45km (about
28 miles), Lucca 51km (about 31 miles) and Siena 103km
(64 miles).
You are an hour’s drive from
the Tyrrhenian coast and within easy reach of the Florence-Pisa
highway. Vinci (just 5km, or about 3 miles away) offers
a good choice of shops and restaurants as well as two
Leonardo museums.
You are only 30 minutes from Florence
and an hour to the sea – the Villa dei Medici
is the perfect place either to relax, or head out and
see the many sights of Tuscany.
