Charming independent villa, set in
the wonderful countryside of the Valdichiana near by
the Etruscan city of Cortona.

Immersed in the wonderful Cortona country side, between
cultivated fields and the ancient Tuscan Dukedom (the
Leopoldine) houses sits Villa Ginevera, looking out
onto the immensity of the Val di Chiana.
This unforgettable villa is situated
in such a way that sun strikes it from sunrise to sunset,
bathing it in the warm golden glow of magical Tuscan
light that has inspired artists from the time of Leonardo
da Vinci.
The villa has been carefully and tastefully
furnished with particular care and attention to detail.
It is very comfortable and well equipped with satellite
tv, dishwasher, washing machine, cd player, dvd recorder
and microwave.
The generous hospitality is evident
by the Wednesday night dinner invitations that are extended
from the owners to all villa guests.  Cooking lessons
can also be planned for.Special provision is made for
people with young children, a cot and highchair are
provided and baby sitting can be arranged.
The
terrace leads straight on to the lawn and is equipped
with BBQ, table and chairs, allowing you to prepare
the evening meal whilst the children bowl around near
by or simply providing a tranquil and lovely frame for
the rest of the garden.
The open plan kitchen is perfect for
entertaining family and friends.
The villa is with in the same estate
as the owners residence and shares the entrance way
and parking facility but is independent with it's own
private, hedged garden area and private pool (4 x 8
meters or 13.12 x 26.25 ft).
ACCOMODATION: Villa
Ginevra is set on two floors. On the first floor is
a well equipped open plan kitchen, large living/dining
room with fireplace, bathroom  with shower and store
room.
On the second floor there are two
double bedrooms, one twin bedroom with air conditioning, wardrobe room, bathroom
with bath and shower.
Many
rooms are enriched with weird but refined antiques,
this makes the villa homely and interesting but is still
child friendly.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: The house is surrounded by a large,
shady garden with private swimming pool (4 x 8 meters
or 13.12 x 26.25 ft) that enjoys an excellent view of
the valley below.
Approximately 200 meters or yards
away and in a separate garden with another pool is a
smaller cottage (Villa
Bona) that can sleep two people. It can be
rented separately or together upon request.
 LOCATION: Villa Ginevera
is near to Cortona as well as with easy reach of most
important Tuscan places of interest.The nearest airport
is Florence (about an hour and a half).Pisa is about
two hours and Rome airports both about two and a half
hours away.
The nearest village with shops, restaurants
and services is Foiano della Chiana 4 km or about 2
and a half miles. Cortona, which is a large town boasting
wonderful art and architecture as well as all modern
services is 15 km or just over 9 miles.
OTHER FACILITIES AVAILABLE
NEAR BY: 500meters or yards from the villa
there is a tennis court, a small football stadium, and
a bar. There
is also the possibility of horse riding, playing golf
and doing shopping 7 kilometers or just over 4 miles
from the property.
Please note: This property does not
have air conditioning. Air conditioning is rarely necessary
in Tuscany due to the lack of humidity and the temperate
climate.  Almost all of our properties at InTuscany are
in remodeled medieval or renaissance buildings. They
generally have very thick walls and high ceilings, most
are built on the tops of our gently rolling hills where
they catch the breezes that spring up at mid day and
in the evenings.
Generally air conditioning is only
found by the sea side or in the city centers where noise
and/or humidity make it necessary. We do not have air
conditioning in our offices or in any of our own homes.
