Villa Giulia is in a complex of privately
owned holiday apartments, perched on the edge of a cliff
with uninterrupted panoramic sea views.
Apart
from being almost on the water, what makes this apartment
so special are the amazing views.  It’s gracious
and expansive terrace takes them all in to perfection
and is just steps from the kitchen and living room.
The entire apartment is floored with
very pretty blue and white tiles typical of the area
and this theme is repeated through out the décor
of the apartment.
ACCOMODATION: The
apartment is 80 sq meters or about 861 sq feet. One
enters the apartment into the open plan living room/kitchen.
The kitchen is equipped with a toaster, American style
coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine for clothes,
fridge with freezer, micro-wave and oven.
There is a master bedroom suite with superb sea view and king sized bed. There are two other bedrooms that open on the living room, one with a bed that is between double and Queen sized and another with four bunk beds. The bunk bedroom is awkwardly shaped.  It would be fine for four children, adequate for two adults and two children but cramped for four adults.
There is also DVD, DIVX, CD player, a fixed telephone line
and internet (for clients with own lap tops) included in
the price. Hair dryer is provided.
Please note that from the car park
to the front door of the apartment are about thirty
steps. Guests will have to navigate these steps with
their luggage on arrival and departure as well as daily
to leave or return to the villa.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: Through the French windows in
the living room is a large and well furnished split
level terrace with a small garden. It is, suitable for
dining al frescoe or sun bathing and is one of the best
features of the apartment. (We would spend out whole
holiday on this terrace!) It has the most stupendous
panoramic views.
 From
the apartment is another stair case going down to sea
level. At the bottom is a rocky ledge suitable for sun
bathing if desired and also a shallow rock pool that
makes a perfect toddler paddle place. This ledge is
private for the residents of the complex. Guests are
reminded that they must be vigilant of small children
when by the sea or on the terrace.
LOCATION: Villa
Julia is half way between Positano (6 Km or about 3.7
miles) and Amalfi (11 kilometers or about 6 miles) These
two villages personify Italian beach chic and the “bella
figura”.
After a day spent swimming, sun baking
or boating guests can head into town for a cocktail
and a spot of beautiful people watching. The notorious
twisting cliff roads that connect the villages with
the villa offer exciting panoramas of this world famous
shore line and it’s jewel bright sea at every
turn.
The nearest airport is Napoli (about
1 ½ hours by car) and then Rome (about three
 hours by car).
OTHER
FACILITIES AVAILABLE NEAR BY: There is a large
selection of fantastic restaurants and night clubs near
by.
There are tennis courts in Positano
and Amalfi.
Culture Vultures will also find plenty
to do with Pompei just a short drive and Capri, with
it’s Roman ruins and museums to explore, a boat
trip away.
The cliffs are excellent for panoramic
hiking and there is a sandy beach 6 kilometers or about
3.7 miles away.
Please note: This property
does not have air conditioning. Air conditioning is
rarely necessary in Tuscany due to the lack of humidity
and the temperate climate. Almost all of our properties
at InTuscany are in remodeled medieval or renaissance
buildings. They generally have very thick walls and
high ceilings, most are built on the tops of our gently
rolling hills where they catch the breezes that spring
up at mid day and in the evenings.
Generally air conditioning
is only found by the sea side or in the city centers
where noise and/or humidity make it necessary. We do
not have air conditioning in our offices or in any of
our own homes.
