Villa La Burraia is a splendidly restored farmhouse set in the midst of cultivated fields with 360 degrees breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside.  Located just 6 kilometers from Montepulciano, the villa was used as a butter production facility until the 1960.
Built in the Seventeenth century, it has maintained its privacy through the ages. Villa La Burraia is set in a oasis of absolute peace and silence, a bliss for those who want to enjoy the company of their loved ones and regain contact with a lush natural environment in Tuscany.
ACCOMMODATION: The main body of the villa is divided into two large apartments. The owners live in one of the apartments to provide assistance to their guests.
The apartment dedicated to the guests is divided on two floors. One can access the apartment through the large arched wooded and glass door and step into the sunny living room furnished with comfortable sofas and a large screen satellite TV.  On the first floor is the large dining room with practical hidden kitchenette, and the four double bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms with shower.
Villa La Burraia has been recently remodelled, and the owners have paid particular attention to furnishing the apartment with traditional antique Tuscan furniture, to spouse the comforts of the present with the poetry of the past. One can enjoy great 180 degrees views of the natural surrounds from all the room windows.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT: The swimming pool is set just few meters from the entrance to the apartment, and is for exclusive use of the guests. Located in a splendid panoramic position, it enjoys full privacy. The pool area also features a private outside eating area with gazebo and garden furniture. Around the pool one can find plenty of space to sunbath and also a classy cantilever parasol.
LOCATION: Villa La Burraia's location allows its guests for splendid daytrips to places of cultural interest such as Montepulciano, Cortona, Foiano, Pienza, Monticchiello, Siena and Perugia. The main Italian highway is only 15 minutes away, guaranteeing easy access to cities such as Rome and Florence .
FACILITIES: Among the many activities available nearby Farmhouse La Burraia are golfing, horseback riding, hiking, bike rentals, and wine tours. The owners also offer a 10% discount to their guests having lunch or dinner at their restaurant located in Montepulciano's historic center.
Please note: This property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioning is rarely necessary in Tuscany due to the lack of humidity and the temperate climate.  Almost all of our properties at InTuscany are in remodelled medieval or renaissance buildings. They generally have very thick walls and high ceilings, most are built on the tops of our gently rolling hills where they catch the breezes that spring up at mid day and in the evenings.
Generally air conditioning is only found by the sea side or in the city centers where noise and/or humidity make it necessary. We do not have air conditioning in our offices or in any of our own homes.
