Villa La Torre is a medieval lookout tower, built more than 8 centuries ago on Etruscan foundations, and at a later date incorporated into the farmhouse structure.  Over the centuries, the Torre has been inhabited by generations of farmers who have molded the available spaces, as well as those of the outbuildings, according to their own needs.
Now it is a large country residence full of history and charm, immersed in the greenery of the surrounding olive tree groves and vineyards. The interiors take pride in their elegant details, such as the 17th-century fireplace, antique furniture and the reading room which occupies the entire top floor of the tower.

LOCATION: It only takes 5 minutes by car from Villa La Torre to San Gimignano. All the most important Tuscan places of interest are within easy reach as well: Siena (45mins); central Florence (just over 1 hr.); Arezzo (2hrs.). The nearest airport is either Florence or Pisa, which are equi-distant (about 1hr.15mins.). Rome Airport is about 3hrs. drive away.
