It is about two months now since our family stayed in Villa Nicolai and I still owe you a note to say that the whole family had a wonderful week in that villa. All was perfect, very well maintained and very comfortable. We had little contact with the owner-family, but when we met they were most helpful and forthcoming.

We have had a wonderful week in your
beautiful villa. What a treat it has been to walk through
the grape vines and stroll the grounds that are so manicured.
Your website photos do not do the villa nor the grounds
justice. We will have memories of this place for many
years to come. We hope to return some day! Lorenzo and
Mercedes thank you for all of your help and hospitality.
You made us feel like we were at home. We even played
some bocce, we left these here for your next visitors.

Lorenzo, Mercedes and Angela: you
have done a wonderful job in restoring this house and
decorating it with beautiful furnishings and original
watercolors! We love October in Italy, even the occasional
dramatic thunderstorms! In between we have had (almost
every day) sunshine (warm enough to lay) and no crowds
at the tourist destinations. We’d love to come
back.

The villa is beautiful and we loved
exploring through the rooms. The antiques were fun to
look at.
You’ve done a fantastic job
with the renovation. The girls had such fun climbing
trees, playing in the gardens and running around. We
biked around your little neighbourhood and met the “mad
dog” ?. Your location is great we made it to Siena,
San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio and of course
Florence. Easter mess at the Duomo was a memorable experience
with the dove and fireworks.
Tomi made quite an impression on
the girls….they hope he feels better soon. We
loved our dinners which were delicious and very relaxing.
Angela has a superb hand in the kitchen! We liked the
Vin Santo, but decided to pass on the Lardo! ?
Lorenzo you are a wonderful host!
We look forward to our next visit

What a lasting memory for those cold winter days in

We had a truly Bon Natale at your
lovely Villa Niccolai. In spite of some cold and rainy
days, the warmth of the fireplace, the comfortable and
tasteful furnishings, the lovely watercolor paintings
and the spacious feeling of the gardens and surrounding
countryside made for an enjoyable stay. We can only
imagine how beautiful it is in in Orentano in the warmer
months and hope that we will be able to arrange another
family outing at Villa Niccolai.
You have done a truly commendable
job on remodeling the lovely villa and yet retaining
all of its old world charm. We commented often on the
tasteful decor, the lovely antique pieces and the elegant
chandeliers, the spacious rooms, the old arched doorways
and the old beams of this wonderful barn conversion.
And what a location!! With very little
hassle, we enjoyed our daily Tuscan excursions to Pisa,
Siena, San Gimignano, Montecatini Terme and, of course,
Lucca with its Roman walls and wonderful carosello.
We enjoyed going into Firenze and thoroughly enjoyed
that wonderful city with its remarkable artwork, Duomo
and the David as well as its luxurious shopping - but
of course you already aware of the wonderful part of
the world in which you live.
But most of all, we were left with
a warm and wonderful feeling of the people in Orentano
and Altopascio. In Orentano, we went in for our morning
espresso and light shopping and most enjoyed the Bon
Natale pageant at the Cathedral on Christmas Eve; we
also had a wonderful dinner with your friends at Da
Benito. In Altopascio, we truly enjoyed our shopping
experiences with the merchants up and down the street;
they were truly gracious in working with us and befriending
us.
In closing, we had a wonderful experience at your Vila
Niccolai.

With such a diverse family group it
was great that some people could hang out around the
pool every day and the others could hair around doing
all the sight seeing but still be back at a decent time.
