Villetta Gardenia sits in the hills
between Liguria and Tuscany. It is an ancient hayloft,
wonderfully restored and transformed.
Separated
from the manor house that it once served by a large
farmyard, Villetta Gardenia is the perfect place for
a classic Italian vacation.  The beautiful landscape,
stretching from the Apuan Alps to the sea, and the vast
olive grove surrounding it characterize this beautiful
rural house, where you can find privacy and relaxation.
ACCOMODATION: The
property is on three floors: The ground floor was formally
an orangery for protecting citrus plants from the winter
frosts. It has now been converted into a bright dining
room with kitchenette and lounge.
The kitchen is fully equipped with
fridge, dishwasher, espresso and American coffee makers,
a toaster and an oven. There is a small laundry with
washing machine and dryer next to the kitchen.
Just
out side of the dining room, a staircase has been cut
into the terrace leading to the sleeping area. On the
first floor there is a double bedroom, an en suite bathroom
with shower and a nice terrace with table, chairs and
umbrella.
 A convenient internal wooden staircase
leads to the second double bedroom with en suite bathroom
with a shower and a beautiful sauna.
The house is tastefully and elegantly
furnished, and great attention is given to every detail
– in the bedrooms you will find bathrobes, embroidered
towels, a minibar, CD player, satellite TV and air conditioning.
The first floor bedroom also has a safe.
THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING
ENVIRONMENT: Villetta Gardenia is surrounded
by a large garden and a splendid olive grove.
In
the garden, among seasonal flowers, there is an elegant
wooden gazebo with a table and wickerwork chairs for
breakfasts and dinners. A spacious Jacuzzi (3 x 3meters
or yards) with hot water, an outdoor hot shower, comfortable
sun lounges with cushions and beach towels complete
the service to ensure total relaxation.
 Upon arrival, you will receive a warm
welcome and the landlady will prepare a dinner for you. At your disposal: mobile phone, breakfast
(supplied but not served) and vegetables from the garden.
LOCATION: Villetta
Gardenia is near to Carrara as well as with in easy
reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The
nearest airport is Pisa (30 minutes). Florence airport
is 1 hour and Rome airport 3 hours by car.

NEAR BY: From Villetta Gardenia you can easily
reach places of great interest like Cinque Terre, Portovenere,
Golfo dei Poeti, Portofino, Carrara (marble quarries
are 15 minutes away by car), Versilia’s beaches
(20 minutes away), northern Tuscany and the cities of
Pisa (30 minutes by car), Lucca (30 minutes) and Florence
(1 hour).
 The
beaches along the coast can be reached in 10 minutes
by car. The ferryboats to Cinque Terre, Portovenere,
Portofino and the Gulf of Poets tour leave every day
from the harbour of Marina di Carrara (8 km).
The ‘Muraglione Club’,
with swimming pools, tennis courts and a famous seafood
restaurant is 4 km away.
