Villa Meleto is a traditional farmhouse dating from the late 17th century with seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. It is an elegant, historic holiday home with exquisite gardens surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills overlooking the 11th-century castle of Calcione and a beautiful vineyard.

Start your day with a refreshing morning swim in the private swimming pool (6 x 15 and deep from 0.80 to 2.50 meters) before enjoying an al fresco breakfast in one of the two outdoor dining areas overlooking the picturesque vineyards. Spend the rest of your day relaxing on one of the loungers that line the pool patio soaking up the glorious Italian sunshine or take a walk through the extraordinary estate that the property is situated on and discover a variety of untouched woods, lakes, wildlife, farmhouses and olive groves.

Inside, the property boasts an effortless blend of traditional and modern styles that create an elegantly timeless finish. The living room features an exquisite fireplace, several sumptuous sofas and beautiful French doors that flood the space with natural light. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and magnificent dining room where guests can enjoy delicious meals with their loved ones prepared using local ingredients. When it is time to get some rest, discover seven spectacular bedrooms to choose from, each with their own unique charm. There are also six beautifully designed bathrooms.

ACCOMMODATION: Villa Meleto can easily accomodate 14 people (2 in the adjacent dependence "Casa Torre") in luxurious comfort.

The main villa is divided in two floors: on the ground floor (200 square meters) there are a large saloon with fireplace with direct access to garden, kitchen and dining area. On the same floor there are one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub and a service bathroom.

Stairs lead to the first floor (200 square meters) where there is a living room with a large fireplace and Smart-TV. On the same floor there are two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom that share a bathroom with bathtub.

The sixth double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub is located at the first floor level but is only accessed by an outside staircase.

A short distance from the villa there is the dependence (40 square meters) called "Casa Torre" with sitting room with kitchenette (and stove), double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub.

Please note: Air conditioning is available only in the bedrooms. Mosquito nets are available only in the bedrooms on the first floor.

LOCATION: Villa Meleto is 5 km (last 1.5 km is gravel road) from Lucignano which is a beautiful example of an early medieval town and boasts several restaurants, banks and shops. By car; Cortona is 30 minutes, 35 to Arezzo or Montepulciano; 45 to Siena and one hour to Florence. Although immersed in peace and quiet, the autostrada is just 20 minutes drive connecting you to all important tourist destinations and the rest of Tuscany.

Cancellation policy

In case of cancellation of a booking, the clients are entitled to a refund based on the days in advance of arrival day, as follows:

• If the cancellation is made 60 days or more prior arrival day: 100% of the amount paid; no penalty applied.
• If the cancellation is made between 59 and 30 days prior arrival day: 100% of the amount paid; no penalty applied.
• If the cancellation is made between 29 and 7 days prior arrival day: 100% of the amount paid; no penalty applied.
• If the cancellation is made between 6 and 1 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
