Villa Orizzonte is a totally unique villa, in a magical position overlooking the clear blue sea of the Maremma. Originally an ancient watch tower, the villa has been fully restored and the spectacular panoramas can be enjoyed from its terraces and from the swimming pool below.

Villa Orizzonte is an absolutely imposing villa located in Tuscany, in an impressively unique position on a cape extending into the Tyrrhenian sea. This formerly watchtower belonging to the year 1000 has been carefully preserved and it maintains untouched all its ancient charm.

The restoration was held with great care ensuring all the modern comforts, included the air conditioning, but with a special attention for the original character of the property. The period furniture, perfectly blended with contemporary pieces, complete this superb picture.

Magical views can be enjoyed from all the outside spaces of the villa, from the terraces and from the pool area. A walking path leads down to the private flat rock to access the sea. The scenery is that of the blue sea melting and contrasting at the same time with the green of the countryside surrounding. It is such a strikingly spectacular place that it was also used as the set for a James Bond movie.

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL: A private gravel road leads to the property and upon arrival you will be just ravished by the extraordinary views which can be enjoyed from the terraces and the exterior grounds. The large panoramic terrace fully equipped with garden furniture, is the ideal place to relax outside reading a book or simply admire the wonderful scenery all around you. It will be a real delight dining al fresco on this terrace or organizing barbecues while watching the sun going down in front of you.

Some steps will show you the way to the terrace below where you will find the swimming pool (6 x 4 m, 1.4 m deep) completely surrounded by a wooden parquet solarium equipped with sun lounges to sunbathe and unwind enjoying the enchanting views. Private direct access to a platform rock beach (80 meters from the house) shared with another family villa.

The area is very popular to the wealthiest and the famous with their gorgeous yachts moored in the harbors next to the traditional fishing boats. The countryside has a rich flora and fauna and the renowned national park of the Maremma is close by and can be explored on foot, horseback and bike. The town of Fonteblanda is just 1 km from the property and it offers a variety of shops and facilities. If you want to explore the area, there are many interesting towns to visit within easy driving distance, as well as a host of pretty beaches along the coast.

ACCOMODATION: The villa rental give you the opportunity to enjoy a villa with 340 square meters on two floors, the tower and the annex; it sleeps up to 12 persons in 6 bedrooms.

When you enter the villa, on the right you can find a little dining room with fireplace which gives access to two lovely double bedrooms with two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub. One of the double bedrooms can become twin upon request and this has its ensuite bathroom with shower. On the left of the entrance corridor there is a kitchen fully equipped with a 6 burner cooktop, oven, fridge and freezer and dishwasher and on the same side there is another double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

From the corridor on the ground floor of the villa, a staircase leads to the first floor into a bright and luminous large living room equipped with air conditioning and offering incredible views. This lounge room is furnished with sofas and armchairs, a dining table and chairs and it provides a satellite television, a Dvd player and the fireplace. On one side there is also a kitchenette with a 2 burners cooktop and a fridge. This charming living area opens out onto a spectacular terrace fully furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco and sun lounges to relax whilst enjoying these gorgeous views stretching on the horizon as far as the eye can see, extending across the sea to the Tuscan islands of Giglio and Montecristo.

From the small ground floor dining area, a little staircase leads to the ancient tower where there is an original bedroom with four poster bed and fireplace. Another wooden staircase reaches the small bathroom with shower and the dressing area. On the very top of the tower there is a little fantastic terrace.

All the windows in the main villa have mosquito screens and the villa is also provided with washing machine and dryer. Air conditioning in the whole house except in the Tower bedroom and in the ground floor lounge. Unlimited Internet Wi-Fi in the main house, in the annex, in the pool area and in the terrace located above the pool.

Close to the villa is the exquisite annex which is fully air conditioned throughout and it has a sitting room and two double bedrooms (one with four poster bed) each with ensuite bathroom with shower. The annex is only rented together with the main villa and not separately.

LOCATION: Today, more than ever, Maremma is the perfect choice for the passionate traveller. It offers many charming villages so easily and quickly reachable. Often these villages have their origins in the Etruscan or Roman civilization or are veritable gems of the Medieval architecture. Here you can find a mixture of ancient cultures, enduring local traditions, lush landscapes and numerous nature reserves. All of this comes together with an outstanding wine-making and culinary tradition with both sea and inland specialties accompanied by the Mediterrenean aroma of its olive oil.

In case of cancellation of a booking, the clients are entitled to a refund based on the days in advance of arrival day, as follows:

• If the cancellation is made 60 days or more prior arrival day: 100% of the amount paid; no penalty applied.
• If the cancellation is made between 59 and 30 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
• If the cancellation is made between 29 and 7 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
• If the cancellation is made between 6 and 1 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
