In the springtime from April to June nature starts its rebirth and everything is so green in April. May and June are famous for all the many flowers in the gardens, in the fields and even beside the road. The sun is at its highest point on the horizon and in the evening you can eat outside and enjoy the sunset quietly after dinner while sipping a glass of wine. The temperature is not yet too hot but warm enough to sunbathe and swim all day until late due to the many hours of light.
By September 15th all the children are back to school and so the tourists are 1/4, the days are still warm enough to tan and have an afternoon swim but in the evening it chills down enough to light the fire. The truffles and Porcini mushrooms, wild game; pheasant, boar and deer are all on restaurant menus. The sun has begun to slant lower in the sky and so one finds that magical golden Tuscan light effect that Leonardo Da Vinci loved so much.
The vines and olive trees are bursting with their ripe fruits and the leaves in the forests have begun to turn. It hardly rains.
Obviously the summer is the peak season and it is always a nice time to be here even if it is more crowded than the rest of the year.
Tuscany it's without doubt truly divine all year round!
